Welcome to The Top Whatever, Channel 6’s ranking of all the progrums we’d like to talk about after watching a weekend of college football. It's a superior system, in our considered professional opinions, in that there's no inflation or contraction of teams included here to fit within some arbitrary number of slots (as opposed to the AP Poll) and it actually is written by the people whose names are on it (good afternoon to the increasingly inaccurately-named Coaches Poll).
If you don't see your team here, they probably didn't do anything interesting this week. Don't let that bother you! "Interesting" isn't always a good thing! Just ask Notre Dame!
ONE: IDAHO. Earned their first win of the season in the hallowed hall of the Kibbie Dome by defeating the #1 Montana State Bobcats in OT, 35-34.
If the option to name a previously winless Big Sky team as #1 presents itself in the real world, you think hard about it. If the option to include Idaho specifically arises? The choice does not exist, because few other programs radiate pure football romance like the Vandals.
