TGIF and welcome to the Channel 6 Circular, our in-season replacement for TRL. For the 2026 college football season, this Friday newsletter will catch you up on whatever we've been writing this week, as well as let you know where else you can find us writing/chirping this week.

A couple more site updates, if you're just rejoining us for the season:

• Gift subscriptions are now available!
• If the spirit moves you, readers now have the ability to tip us outside your monthly subscription fee by clicking the "Tips" link at the top of the site (it's in the front page menu if you're on mobile). We installed this feature to cover the surprising number of readers who've kindly asked over the years how they can pay us for stories they've forwarded to non-subscribers; there's still not a Pay What You Like option that we've found that will meet our business needs, so this is the best solution we could come up with for now.
• We have a new and VERY improved search function on the site, powered by Vellumine (not an ad; in fact it's a paid service so this is really the opposite of an ad, but if you're running a Ghost newsletter of your own and have been frustrated by their basic search option, we really like this so far)
• We have revived our Instagram account and are taking it very, very seriously.
