THE 2026 TOP WHATEVER: WEEK TWO

Sometimes a rabid three-star transfer cornerback from Rutgers is all anyone needs to save the world.

THE 2026 TOP WHATEVER: WEEK TWO

Welcome to the Top Whatever, Channel 6’s ranking of all the teams we’d like to talk about after watching a weekend of college football. If you don’t see your team listed below, it’s because they owe us money! (Or they didn’t do anything especially noteworthy this weekend that we wanted to write about, and they also owe us money.)

Enjoy, and remember: Losing to Tulsa is apparently an indication you are a brilliant, brilliant football team on the verge of great things.

STILLWATER, OKLAHOMA - SEPTEMBER 12: Safety Mose Phillips III #18 and safety Markeith Williams #25 of the Oklahoma State Cowboys celebrate after stopping the Oregon Ducks in the fourth quarter at Boone Pickens Stadium on September 12, 2026 in Stillwater, Oklahoma. ONE: OKLAHOMA STATE. Torpedoed the #6 Oregon Ducks in a 39-31 upset of astronomical proportions. Just last week, Oklahoma State lost a 24-10 game to Tulsa, in which they played like pure canned ass, coughed up four turnovers, and nearly sank the whole ambitious transplant operation from North Texas before it even had all its entrails hosed out.

The Cowboys, by any smart estimate, were supposed to take the field against #6 Oregon and then immediately expire.
