Welcome to the Top Whatever, Channel 6’s ranking of all the teams we’d like to talk about after watching a weekend of college football. What follows is our attempt to collect thoughts after what was, by our professional estimates, the best weekend of college football in a very long time. Some weeks there might be eight teams appearing in this space. Some weeks, like this one, there might be many, many more.

ONE: OLE MISS. Cussed their way to a 32-24 workplace dispute settlement against LSU and their own former coach, whom some of you may have heard of.
It’s not physiologically possible to be more dialed in than the entire Ole Miss hivemind was on Saturday night. Even if it were, it’s still not a good idea from a medical perspective. Spencer once drank bourbon out of somebody's necktie flask in that stadium. Sometimes it’s just another place, and sometimes it’s a sweaty bacchanal that shouldn’t be possible or legal in this country.
