This list is made up, and so is every other award watch list ever written.
Every season, Channel 6 delivers The Bradlee Van Pelt Award to the player in our fair sport who most represents the ideal of The Most College Football Player Available.
The BVP Award recognizes a specific variety of greatness: That legend of the game emitting a distinctly collegiate majesty, one worthy of note on its own at this level regardless of what comes next in the NFL. (Or the CFL, or the XFL, or in any number of insurance companies, real estate ventures, or wherever life takes these noble warrior-poets.)
This award is named in honor of Bradlee Van Pelt, a Colorado State icon who a.) wore a banging mullet, b.) once spiked the ball off the head of a Colorado player after scoring a touchdown against them in their rivalry game, and c.) did play in the NFL a little, but really exhibited his powers at their peak while kicking ass in Fort Collins.
Previously, the publication of the BVP Award Watch List preceded the season. However, with the portal open and rosters in flux, we opted to wait this year until everyone actually landed at their intended destinations to begin listing a few of our favorite extremely College Football-type college football players to consider.
